Nice to have a peppercorn station in Jersey City. Love the lunch specials. However, the rice with crab meat sauce is disappointing. I barely taste any crab meat, just a lot of thick sauce with some starch crumbs. The rest of dishes are delicious with 5 stars, but the rice with crab meat sauce only deserves 1 star.

It is our third dining choice in one week’s short stay of Sable appartment, I have to admit most cuisines on menu we had tried and all box checked. It is important for those still have a Chinese- oriented stomach, this restaurant is a must go destination to comfort your stomach. By the way, the restaurant staffs are all kind and polite. Very happy about everything out there.

this restaurant stayed in my list for so long, finally got a chance to try it, the whole spicy fish is absolutely the best, a little bit spicy and sweet, fish meat is so tender, strongly recommend! The potatoes mix with beef is a rice killer! Oh you don’t want to miss the pig feet soup too, very authentic sichuan traditional recipe, my 2-hour drive for this restaurant is totally worthy!

It’s been such a long time since I last dined in at Peppercorn Station, and it did not disappoint. The mala spicy crawfish is an absolute must-order, so flavorful and seriously addictive. I also tried the tofu pudding beef for the first time today, and it was such a pleasant surprise. Super tasty and perfect with rice. Definitely recommend!

I’ve been to Peppercorn Station multiple times, and it’s one of those places I keep coming back to for a proper, comforting meal. The dish I never skip is their green peppercorn fish. It comes out as a whole, generously sized fish, and the meat is incredibly tender. The broth is savory and fragrant without being overpowering, and it’s the kind of dish that naturally makes you eat more rice than you planned. As someone who grew up near the coast and is picky about fish, this one really delivers. The roasted duck in chili broth was another highlight, the portion was much larger than expected, with plenty of duck and vegetables. It’s not just visually impressive; it’s genuinely filling. I was also pleasantly surprised by the brown sugar rice cakes. I don’t usually like desserts that are too sweet, but these were chewy, balanced, and easy to finish. Other dishes like the pork trotter soup were comforting and well-cooked, and the staff even helped separate the meat, which made eating much easier. Portions here are consistently large, and we almost always end up taking leftovers home. Located near Grove St station, it’s very convenient, and the atmosphere feels welcoming for all ages
